Based on their intended function, braided hoses can generally be categorized into single-ended hoses, standard braided hoses, and shower hoses. In terms of manufacturing process and quality, braided hoses can be classified into three grades: low, medium, and high. Low-grade braided hoses utilize lower-end materials, specifically aluminum wire with a fine gauge, iron nuts, zinc alloy inner cores, and rubber inner tubes. While products with this configuration offer a certain price advantage, they represent the lowest quality tier and are highly susceptible to issues such as leaks and oxidation. Mid-range braided hoses primarily feature 304 stainless steel wire, EPDM materials, and solid brass fittings. Their expected service life typically exceeds five years. High-end braided hoses are designed for specific applications-such as those used in water purification systems-and generally require specifications that surpass those of the mid-range tier. Common configurations for high-end hoses include 304 stainless steel wire braiding, food-grade silicone inner tubes, food-grade PEX-B inner tubes, 58-3 solid brass fittings, and silicone gaskets.

Based on their specific application, braided hoses can be further subdivided into single-ended hoses, standard braided hoses, and shower hoses (handheld shower hoses). Single-ended hoses are primarily used for kitchen and bathroom fixtures such as faucets and sinks; their name derives from the fact that one end features external threads (also referred to as a "stem"). The braiding specifications for single-ended hoses typically require 304 stainless steel wire, an EPDM inner tube, and solid brass fittings. Standard braided hoses, on the other hand, can be distinguished by their braiding material-either stainless steel or alloy wire (aluminum wire)-and are similarly classified into different quality grades. Shower hoses typically feature braiding made from either 201 or 304 stainless steel, an EPDM inner tube, and solid brass fittings. Specifically, shower hoses commonly utilize 58-3 brass fittings and EPDM inner tubes, with braiding composed of 201 or 304 stainless steel. Naturally, this category also encompasses high-end variants featuring solid brass braiding or stainless steel with gold plating; these represent the premium segment of the braided hose market.
